Tripura Govt Transfers Six IAS Officers; IAS Megha Jain Made Director, Urban Development

Agartala: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the government of Tripura has announced the transfers of six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. As per the official notification, IAS Megha Jain has been appointed Director of Urban Development.

In addition, she will also serve as the Commissioner of the Tripura Urban Development Authority (TUDA) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tripura Jal Board. Previously, Jain was serving as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) and Collector of West Tripura. 

The list of other transfers includes

• IAS Tarit Kanti Chakma has been transferred from his role as DM & Collector, Gomati District (Udaipur), and posted as the CEO, Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) in Agartala.
• IAS Rinku Lather, previously ADM & Collector, Sepahijala, and Addl. Commissioner, AMC, has become the new DM & Collector, Gomati District, Udaipur.
• IAS Saju Vaheed A has been appointed Managing Director (MD), National Health Mission (NHM), and Member Secretary, National AYUSH Mission (NAM), replacing IAS Prashant Badal Negi, who has been relieved from NHM and NAM responsibilities.
• IAS Dr. Sailesh will continue in his earlier roles, including Director of Industries & Commerce and CEO, Agartala Smart City. However, he is relieved of his skill development portfolio.
• IAS Pradip K., previously ADM & Collector, South Tripura (Belonia), has taken charge as Director, Skill Development.
