Bihar Govt Appoints IAS Amit Kumar Pandey, IAS Prashant Kumar C.H. as Additional Chief Electoral Officers

Patna: Ahead of the assembly elections, the Bihar government has announced the appointment of two Indian Administrative Officers as Additional Chief Electoral Officers (ACEO). Consequently, IAS Amit Kumar Pandey and IAS Prashant Kumar C.H. have been appointed to the post. 

Amit Kumar Pandey is currently serving as the Director of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). 

Prashant Kumar C.H. is presently the Director of Panchayati Raj. He will retain his posts as Director, Panchayati Raj, and Chief General Manager, Bihar Vikas Mission (under the Cabinet Coordination Department).

The General Administration Department (GAD) detailed the appointments in an official notification. Both officers will continue in their existing roles along with the new responsibility.

These appointments come at a key moment, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) intensifying preparations for the state’s assembly elections. The two officers will now assist the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in key functions such as voter list revision, election logistics, and coordination with district election officials.
