Jaipur: The Rajasthan government is planning to set up a comprehensive well-being centre in all the medical colleges of the state.
Along with that, the government will also establish a state-level mental health welfare cell.
Medical Education Commissioner Naresh Goyal issued the instructions during the first meeting of the state-level task force constituted for the mental health and well-being of medical students.
Goyal also said that each medical college will also have a designated dean to specifically monitor and address students’ mental health concerns. In addition, administrative and academic systems will be enhanced to provide better psychological support.
