New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled the latest medical infrastructure at the Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital.
The latest technologies involve an advanced CT scanner and a neurological cath lab. Gupta said that the initiative aims to provide world-class health facilities to the people of Delhi.
Features of the Newly Introduced Technologies
The 256-slice spectral computerised tomography (CT) scanner is the latest in North India. It will aid in the speedy detection of neurological and cardiac disorders, as well as cancer.
The mono-plane neurological catherisation laboratory (cath lab) was termed by Gupta as a ‘big leap’ in the health facilities available at the hospital set up in 1964. Established at Rs 9 crore, the neurocath lab will enable advanced interventional procedures for neurovascular disorders.
According to officials, all three facilities were developed with an expenditure of Rs 31 crore.
