Kolkata: Amid the rapid integration of AI and digital technologies in the financial sector, the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has announced the launch of its Executive Programme in FinTech and AI in collaboration with Emeritus. The 19-week online programme aims to equip mid- to senior-level professionals with applied knowledge in emerging financial technologies, including AI, generative AI, blockchain, and RegTech.
As per PwC’s 2024 report Mapping the FinTech Innovation Landscape in India, over 90% of financial institutions cite AI and generative AI as key drivers of innovation. This shift has created an urgent demand for professionals who can bridge technical expertise with strategic leadership in digital finance.
The curriculum covers a wide range of contemporary topics such as AI applications in lending and insurance, DeFi, digital banking infrastructure, API integration, and regulatory technology. Participants will gain hands-on exposure through real-world case studies, live sessions with industry experts, and a capstone project.
Targeted at professionals in banking, insurance, FinTech, and allied sectors, the programme is open to graduates from recognised universities. On successful completion, participants will receive a certificate from IIM Calcutta, a triple-accredited institution.
The course begins on September 30, 2025, and is priced at INR 1,49,900 + GST. An optional on-campus networking event will also be offered to enhance peer learning and industry engagement.
This initiative reflects the growing need for upskilling in response to ongoing digital transformation in the financial services industry.
