Chennai: As part of a minor reshuffle in the state, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred four officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). Accordingly, IPS Pramod Kumar, currently serving as the Chief Vigilance Officer of Tangedco, has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP), Civil Defence, and Commandant General, Home Guards, based in Chennai.Â
Other IPS transfers include
- IPS V. Jeyashri, previously DGP, Civil Defence, has now been appointed Inspector General (IG) of the State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB).
- IPS Ayush Mani Tiwari, previously serving as the Additional Director General of SCRB, will take charge as Chief Vigilance Officer at Tangedco, replacing IPS Pramod Kumar.
- IPS M. Manohar, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Tiruchy Range, has been transferred to the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) in Chennai, filling a vacant DIG post in the department.
