Thiruvananthapuram: As part of a significant reshuffle, the Kerala government has transferred seven Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. According to the official notification, IPS Johnkutty KL has been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Crime Branch, Ernakulam.
Johnkutty previously served as the SP, Special Investigation Unit 1 of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB).Â
The list of other transfers includes
- IPS Yogesh Gupta, currently the Director General, Fire & Rescue Services, has been appointed as the new Road Safety Commissioner.Â
- IPS Sujith Das S has been shifted from SP (Information, Communication and Technology) to Assistant Inspector General of Police (Procurement).Â
- IPS Nitin Agrawal, previously Road Safety Commissioner, has been posted as Director General, Fire & Rescue Services, replacing IPS Yogesh Gupta.
- IPS Gopakumar K S, presently Additional Commissioner of Excise (Admin), has been appointed as AIG, Law & Order.
- IPS Nakul Rajendra Deshmukh, DCP (Law & Order II), Thiruvananthapuram City, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Thrissur City.
