New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed separate agreements with Kotak Mahindra Bank and Primus Partners to strengthen support for startups in India.
MoU with Kotak Mahindra Bank
According to the department, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kotak Mahindra Bank will focus on improving both financial and non-financial assistance for startups across the country. The collaboration is designed to create a structured framework that allows startups to access customized banking services, funding opportunities, digital and payment solutions, and capacity-building programs.
As part of the MoU, Kotak Mahindra Bank will offer zero-balance current accounts, working capital and term loans, API-based banking platforms, digital payment options, and specialized startup cards for DPIIT-recognized startups. The bank will also provide mentorship, investment advisory, incubation support, and networking opportunities to help startups grow from the idea stage to scale.
MoU with Primus Partners
The MoU with Primus Partners focuses on supporting early-stage and growth-stage startups through capacity-building sessions, expert mentorship, market access programs, and technology integration. It also aims to raise awareness of relevant policies to help startups navigate the business environment effectively.
