New Delhi: The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge India 2025 concluded at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention Centre, New Delhi, celebrating young innovators who showcased robotics-based solutions for food security and sustainable development.
Organised under the AI for Good Impact Initiative of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), IIT Delhi and supported by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the national event highlighted India’s growing leadership in youth-driven technological innovation.
The competition featured Junior and Senior categories, with awards for top-performing teams and special recognition for innovation. In the Junior Category, Team Heyansh from Playto Labs, Bengaluru, emerged as the champion and will represent India at the Global Grand Finale in Geneva in July 2026.
Team Robo Knights Junior from DPS R.K. Puram, New Delhi, and Team Naitik from Playto Labs secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. Team Heyansh also received the award for the Most Innovative and Original Robot.
In the Senior Category, Team Ambitious Avengers from Sant Atulanand Convent School, Varanasi, won for the second consecutive year and will again represent India at the Geneva finale.
Team Aarav from Playto Labs and Team Code from Lotus Valley International School, Noida, were named first and second runners-up, with Team Aarav also winning the award for Most Innovative and Creative Robot.
The challenge brought together 271 participants from 55 teams across eight states. Distinguished guests from DoT, ITU, and IHFC–IIT Delhi felicitated the winners and emphasised India’s commitment to fostering responsible innovation.
A special session on “Digital Safety for Youth” was also held to promote awareness about ethical and secure technology use. The event underscored India’s mission to empower youth through robotics, AI and global collaboration for sustainable development.
