Lucknow: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government has promoted three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 1994 batch to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS). Accordingly, IAS Amit Kumar Ghosh has been appointed ACS of the Medical Health & Family Welfare and Medical Education.
Before this promotion, Ghosh served as the Principal Secretary in the same department.
The other two promotees are
- IAS Leena Johri, currently Principal Secretary, Women & Child Development and Director General, Rashtriya Poshan Mission, has been appointed as ACS of the same department.Â
- Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, currently Principal Secretary, Basic and Secondary Education, has been elevated to the rank of ACS in the same department.
These promotions aim to enhance governance in strategically important departments.
