New Delhi: The Delhi Police has announced the transfers of five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, transferring two of them to Arunachal Pradesh and two to Jammu and Kashmir. The reshuffle has been approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Accordingly, IPS Pankaj Kumar has been transferred and posted to Arunachal Pradesh as DCP, Crime.
Subsequently, IPS Sukhraj Katewa, DCP, Security (Prime Minister’s Security), has also been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
The officers transferred to Jammu and Kashmir include
IPS Sukant Shailja Ballabh
IPS Krishan Kumar
IPS Kamal Pal Singh Malhotra
These transfers will come into effect from April 1, 2026.
The transfers have been undertaken to strengthen policing and governance in the regions.
