Thiruvananthapuram: IAS Aishvarya Singh, a 2008-batch officer, has been appointed as the Special Roll Observer to supervise the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Kerala.
As part of her assignment, she reviewed the progress of SIR activities in the Thiruvananthapuram district on 20 December.
During her visit, Singh also attended a meeting with political party representatives convened by Kerala Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U. Kelkar.
According to the CEO’s office, she will continue similar reviews in other districts, having visited Wayanad on 21 December and scheduled to be in Kozhikode on 22 December.
The review focuses on assessing implementation, coordination with election officials and ensuring accuracy and inclusiveness in electoral rolls.
The SIR enumeration phase ended on 18 December, with draft rolls set for release on 23 December.
