Centre Upgrades IAS Neeraj Kumar Singh’s Post to Director Level

New Delhi:  The central government has approved the upgradation of the post of IAS Neeraj Kumar Singh to the Director level.

He is currently serving as the Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and Electronics and Information Technology, Jitin Prasada.

Singh is a 2012 batch officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the post held by Singh has been upgraded from Deputy Secretary level to Director level. The decision takes effect from the date he assumes charge of the re-designated position.

The upgraded assignment will be in place till 29 September 2030, or on a co-terminus basis with the tenure of the minister, or until Singh ceases to serve as the minister’s private secretary, or until further orders—whichever occurs first.

The approval was given by the competent authority following a proposal from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
