New Delhi: In a key administrative reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of two Karnataka cadre officers, IAS Anirudh Sravan Pulipaka and IAS Chandrashekhar Nayaka L, as Private Secretaries to the Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Pulipaka has been appointed as Private Secretary to Sitharaman in the Ministry of Finance at the Director level. His appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge. His tenure will continue until September 29, 2028. This covers the balance of his five-year term as Private Secretary or will run on a coterminous basis with the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Pulipaka had earlier been serving as Private Secretary to the Minister in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. His tenure in that role has been curtailed to facilitate his move to the Finance Ministry. He has been serving in the role since September 29, 2023, and was reappointed on June 26, 2024, after the 2024 General Election.
In a parallel move, Chandrashekhar has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs at the Deputy Secretary level. His tenure will run until August 3, 2030, covering the balance of his five-year term as Private Secretary or Officer on Special Duty, or on a coterminous basis with the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Nayaka had been serving as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Finance since August 3, 2025. His tenure in that role has been curtailed following his new appointment.
