Bhubaneshwar: The Odisha government has effected a fresh round of administrative changes among senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, with Bhupendra Singh Poonia being assigned additional responsibilities, according to a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia, IAS (RR-2008), currently Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education Department, has been allowed to hold additional charge as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Sports & Youth Services Department. This ends the additional charge earlier held by Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, IAS.
Prasanth Kumar Reddy, IAS (RR-2009), Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department, has been appointed Managing Director of IDCO.
Rashmita Panda, IAS (RR-2010), earlier named Vice-Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), has now been posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, MSME Department. She will continue as Chairman & CEO, Startup Odisha, and CEO, ORSAC. Her previous BDA appointment has been cancelled.
Surendra Kumar Meena, IAS (RR-2012), will retain additional charge as Executive Director, CMGI, and Convener, Committee on Administrative & Governance Reforms, replacing Shri Vineet Bhardwaj, IAS.
Aboli Sunil Naravane, IAS (RR-2015), has been given additional charge as MD, IPICOL, relieving Poonia of the role.
The changes aim to strengthen governance in industrial promotion, urban development and skill sectors.
