Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has signed a major agreement with Puch AI to strengthen artificial intelligence infrastructure in the state.
The deal, valued at Rs. 25,000 crore, focuses on building AI parks, large-scale data centers, and an AI university to position the state as a growing tech hub.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the development on X, stating, “New Uttar Pradesh is embracing the power of Artificial Intelligence. A Rs. 25,000 Crore MoU with Puch AI will bring AI Parks, large-scale data center infrastructure, AI Commons, and an AI University to the state. This initiative will strengthen governance, drive innovation, and create future-ready opportunities for our youth.”
Founded in 2025 by Siddharth Bhatia and Arjit Jain, Puch AI is a Bengaluru-based startup focused on making AI accessible to the masses. The platform operates primarily through WhatsApp and voice calls, offering free services such as chat assistance, image and video generation, and fact-checking. Its strong focus on regional languages aims to bring AI tools to users with little or no technical background.
The initiative aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s broader push into the technology sector, including a separate $25 billion data center investment plan. With this move, the state aims to capture a share of India’s projected $131 billion AI market by 2032 while creating new opportunities for innovation, governance, and employment.
