Mumbai, August 4(APAC Media): Indian edtech company Imarticus Learning has acquired Singapore-based BELLS Institute of Higher Learning, marking its first international acquisition and entry into the Southeast Asian education market.
The acquisition expands Imarticus Learning’s presence beyond India and brings together two professional education providers with a combined workforce of more than 1,100 employees and operations across over 25 offices in India and Singapore. The deal also adds BELLS Institute’s enterprise learning, workforce development, AI, technology and data analytics training capabilities to Imarticus’ portfolio.
The companies said they plan to establish the BELLS School of AI in Singapore to offer applied artificial intelligence training for working professionals, fresh graduates and corporate teams. The proposed courses will cover AI literacy, machine learning, AI for finance, financial technology and AI-driven business transformation, with programmes designed around employer demand in Singapore, India and other ASEAN markets.
The acquisition also strengthens Imarticus Learning’s presence in Singapore’s skills development ecosystem through BELLS Institute’s existing partnerships with SkillsFuture Singapore and regional enterprises.
According to the company, the deal is expected to create new education and career opportunities across the ASEAN region. Indian learners may gain access to exchange programmes and career pathways in Singapore, while learners in Singapore are expected to have access to Imarticus Learning’s programmes in finance, technology, data science and analytics.
