Noida, Aug 16 (APAC Media): Royal Enfield is preparing to expand the Classic 350 range with a new Gorkha Edition, which has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its official launch. The special edition appears to have been designed as a tribute to the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army.
The motorcycle gets a distinctive matte military green paint finish, giving it a different appearance from the other variants of the Classic 350. The side panels carry a dedicated Gorkha Edition badge, along with the crossed Khukri emblem associated with the Gorkha Rifles. The Khukri is traditionally linked with the Gorkha Regiment.
The new edition retains the retro styling that has become synonymous with the Classic 350. Chrome-finished engine casings and an exhaust system complement the military-inspired paintwork, while chrome wire-spoke wheels add to the motorcycle’s traditional appearance.
According to details available from the dealership sighting, the Gorkha Edition is not expected to receive mechanical changes. The motorcycle will continue with Royal Enfield’s J-series single-cylinder engine, which powers the existing Classic 350 range. The powertrain is tuned for relaxed performance and is suited to steady cruising rather than outright sporty riding.

The special edition is therefore expected to differentiate itself primarily through its styling and theme. Royal Enfield has previously used limited or special editions to give its established models distinctive colour schemes and design elements, and the Gorkha Edition follows a similar approach.
The company has not yet announced the launch date, pricing or availability details for the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition.
However, the motorcycle’s appearance at a dealership indicates that its market introduction could take place soon.
Further information is expected to be released by Royal Enfield closer to the launch.
The Classic 350 remains one of Royal Enfield’s key models in India, combining a retro design with modern mechanicals.
The Gorkha Edition could attract buyers looking for a more distinctive version of the motorcycle, particularly those drawn to its military-inspired styling and association with the Gorkha Regiment.
The special edition is expected to retain the core riding characteristics of the standard Classic 350 while offering a visually differentiated package.
