New Delhi, August 12 (APAC Media): Samsung India will train 20,000 young people in artificial intelligence (AI) across 10 states under the 2026 edition of its Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme.
The initiative, conducted in partnership with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), is aimed at building AI and technology skills among young people as demand for AI talent continues to grow across industries.
AI training for young learners
The fourth edition of SIC in India will target participants aged 18 to 25 and combine technical training with practical exposure.
The programme will include:
- Hands-on AI learning
- Practical projects and real-world applications
- Mentorship opportunities
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking exercises
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Career-readiness training
Samsung said participants will also work on practical AI solutions as part of the programme, with the aim of helping them develop skills that can translate into future employment opportunities.
More than 26,500 people trained since 2022
Samsung Innovation Campus has trained more than 26,500 young people in India since its launch in 2022. The company said women accounted for 48% of participants in 2025, highlighting the programme’s focus on broader participation in technology education.
The 2026 initiative builds on Samsung’s previous skilling programmes in India. In April, the company certified 1,000 students in Maharashtra in AI and coding through SIC, with the programme also covering soft skills and career readiness.
