Noida, Aug 21 (APAC Media): Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPV) on Friday announced a price increase of up to Rs 25,000 across its passenger vehicle portfolio, covering both internal combustion engine (ICE) models and electric vehicles (EVs), effective September 1, 2026.
The company said the extent of the increase would vary across models and variants, depending on the product and configuration.
“TMPV continues to focus on delivering strong value to customers across its portfolio. The price revision is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures,†the company said in a statement.

The automaker said it has been absorbing a significant portion of the increase in input costs but would pass on part of the impact to customers through the latest price adjustment.
“While we continue to absorb a significant portion of these cost increases, a part of the impact is being passed on to customers through this adjustment,†TMPV said.
The company said the differentiated increase across models and variants would help ensure that the overall value proposition of its offerings remains intact.
The price revision comes amid continued pressure on the automotive industry from higher input and operating costs. Automakers have periodically revised vehicle prices to offset cost pressures while seeking to maintain demand and competitiveness.
TMPV, which manufactures a range of cars and SUVs, has a portfolio spanning conventional petrol and diesel-powered vehicles as well as electric models.
The company did not specify the revised prices of individual models or variants in its announcement.
The new prices will come into effect from September 1, 2026, and customers purchasing vehicles thereafter will be subject to the applicable revised pricing.
The company reiterated that the adjustment was aimed at partially mitigating cost pressures rather than passing on the entire increase in input costs to consumers.
TMPV is among India’s major passenger vehicle manufacturers and has been expanding its presence in both the SUV and electric vehicle segments.
