New Delhi, September 1(APAC Media): Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Ninja 500 in India at ₹5.76 lakh (ex-showroom), with the latest model-year update bringing a new colour option while leaving the motorcycle’s mechanical package unchanged.
The Ninja 500 is now available in a Lime Green paint scheme. Apart from the colour update, Kawasaki has retained the existing engine, transmission, chassis and feature list. Bookings have opened at authorised Kawasaki dealerships, with deliveries scheduled to begin from the last week of August 2026.
2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Price And Engine
The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 continues to use the 451cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It produces 45 PS at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an Assist and Slipper Clutch.
There is no change to the power output or transmission for the 2027 model year.
Ninja 500 Features And Equipment
The motorcycle continues with a high-contrast LCD instrument console, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting and 17-inch wheels. It also gets a trellis frame and a low-seat design. Smartphone connectivity is available on the higher-spec variant.
The Ninja 500 retains Kawasaki’s existing sportbike design, including twin LED headlamps and the compact rear section. The new Lime Green finish is the main styling change introduced with the 2027 model.
Kawasaki Ninja 500 Rivals
The Ninja 500 continues to sit in the middleweight sportbike segment, where it competes with the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3 and KTM RC 390.
With the 2027 update, Kawasaki has chosen to carry forward the existing mechanical package rather than make changes to the engine or cycle parts. For buyers, the main difference is therefore the new colour option, while the price and core specifications remain unchanged.
