New Delhi, September 11 (APAC Media): The Centre has assigned IAS Sudhansh Pant the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD).
Pant is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre.
Pant, who is currently Secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, will hold the additional responsibility from September 12 to October 4, 2026, during the leave period of V Vidyavathi, the department’s incumbent Secretary.
The temporary arrangement is aimed at ensuring continuity in the administrative functioning of the department during Vidyavathi’s absence.
In another bureaucratic development, P I Sreevidya has been empanelled for appointment to posts of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre.
A 2010-batch Karnataka cadre officer, Sreevidya is now eligible for consideration for Joint Secretary-level assignments in the Central Government under the applicable central staffing framework.
