New Delhi, September 10 (APAC Media): Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra has assumed charge as Director (Technical) – Operations at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL). He will also hold the additional charge of Director (Technical) – Project & Planning.
Mohapatra Brings 30+ Years of Experience
After taking charge, Mohapatra held a review meeting with Heads of Departments and Area General Managers to discuss key operational priorities and ongoing activities across SECL.
He joins the new role with more than three decades of experience in the mining sector. Before joining SECL, he served as General Manager of Jhanjra Area at Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL).
Mining and Management Expertise
An alumnus of IIT-BHU, Mohapatra holds a degree in Mining Engineering and an MBA in Human Resource Management. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India).
He began his career at Surakachhar Colliery in SECL’s Korba Area and has held several positions, including Colliery Manager, Project Officer, Additional General Manager and General Manager. He has also led major underground and opencast mining operations under Coal India Limited.
