Hyderabad, September 14 (APAC Media): The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HyperVault AI Data Center Limited (HADL) to facilitate renewable energy supply for the company’s upcoming data centre facilities in Telangana.
About the Partnership
Under the agreement, SECI will explore the development of renewable energy projects on a captive basis to support the growing power requirements of HyperVault AI’s data centre operations. The collaboration will include identifying suitable land and facilitating transmission connectivity for supplying renewable power to the proposed facilities.
The MoU was signed by Sivakumar V. Vepakomma, Director (Power Systems), SECI, and Deepesh Nanda, MD & CEO, HyperVault AI Data Center Limited. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of IAS Akash Tripathi, Managing Director, SECI, along with senior officials from both organisations.
Focus on Reliable Green Power
Described as the first-ever exclusive renewable energy supply initiative for data centre operations in India, the partnership seeks to align the country’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure with its clean energy transition.
The initiative is expected to help HyperVault AI secure reliable green power for its planned Telangana data centres through dedicated captive renewable energy development, while supporting more sustainable growth of India’s energy-intensive digital infrastructure.
