New Delhi: NIC’s journey of three and a half decades now transcends in the form of a book. Titled, ‘ Citizen Empowerment through Digital Transformation in Government,’ chronicles various initiatives of National Informatics Centre, the backbone of government IT ecosystem.
Dr Neeta Verma, DG, NIC said, “Over the time we felt that there is a requirement to capture the tacit knowledge of our people who are working as IT advisors in different sectors in government since the early phase of the digital adoption in public services.”
The book captures various initiatives of digital transformation in various govt departments and NIC’s role in these. Be it agriculture, judiciary, health, education, etc, NIC has developed various digital solutions. The book documents the initiatives.
