Leh: IPS officer Shruti Arora has assumed the role of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This comes as the 2018 batch officer, from the AGMUT cadre, takes over from SSP P D Nitya due to a transfer. Arora was previously serving as the Additional Superintendent of Police in Leh.
A graduate of the University Institute of Engineering and Technology at Panjab University, Arora completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School in Chandigarh. Arora boasts a background as a national-level fencer. She secured the 118th rank in the UPSC exams, paving the way for her entry into the Indian Police Service.
