Bhubaneswar: The Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, recently laid the foundation stone for ‘Ayush Diksha,’ the first ever centre for the development of human resources for Ayush professionals.
This state-of-the-art center, located within the campus of Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Bhubaneswar, aims to enhance the skills of Ayush professionals and provide world-class patient care services.
Sonowal highlighted the growing prominence of the Ayush movement in the last decade, emphasising the government’s commitment to an integrated medicine approach, combining traditional Ayush systems with modern medicine.
The Ayush Diksha centre, with a budget of ₹30 crores, will offer training programs, collaborate with national institutes, and focus on capacity development and research in Ayurveda. The initiative is seen as a leap towards promoting and advancing research in Ayurveda on scientific lines.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the MP for Bhubaneswar, Aparajita Sarangi, and the Director General of CCRAS, Professor Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya.
