New Delhi: IAS officer Dr Basant Garg, Additional CEO of the National Health Authority and Mission Director of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), represented the National Health Authority (NHA) at the 13th Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting between India and Sweden. The discussions were held in Stockholm and focused on India’s advancement in digital health, particularly the ABDM.
India’s efforts in establishing registries and electronic health records were discussed during the meeting with Swedish counterparts. Dr Garg took to his LinkedIn account and wrote, “I represented NHA in the 13th Joint Working Group between India and Sweden, in Stockholm, Sweden. I highlighted the achievements of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and the possibilities of cooperation between the 2 countries in the sphere of Digital Health.”
A JWG brings together representatives from government departments or agencies of different countries. They come together to discuss and work on topics like diplomacy, economics, security, trade, environment, culture, and science. The main aim is to promote dialogue, share information, and solve problems together.
