Mumbai: Lupin Ltd, a major pharmaceutical company, has appointed Abdelaziz Toumi as CEO of its newly formed subsidiary, Lupin Manufacturing Solutions. According to Lupin’s regulatory filing, Toumi has been a veteran leader in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) industries for over 20 years.
He has expertise in both the scientific and commercial realms and his background includes work in Europe, North America, and Asia. He has served in leadership roles at Bayer, Merck, Catalent, Lonza, and KBI Biopharma. According to the statement, he will have his base in Switzerland and travel to India often.
In addition to developing, producing, and selling active pharmaceutical ingredients, Lupin Manufacturing Solutions (LMS) is beginning to expand its contract development and manufacturing operations (CDMO) division.
