Raipur: Ramen Deka has been appointed as the new Governor of Chhattisgarh. Deka is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1985 batch.
He previously served as the Secretary of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. He has also held various important positions, including Secretary of the Department of North Eastern Region and Secretary of the Department of Border Management.
In his new role as Governor, Deka will oversee constitutional and ceremonial functions in the state and work with the Chhattisgarh government on legislative and administrative matters. His extensive experience in public administration is expected to aid in the effective governance of the state.
