Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer N.B.S. Rajput has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Odisha. The appointment, effective immediately, marks a significant administrative shift within the state’s governance structure. Rajput is a 1999 batch IAS officer who has held various prominent positions in the state administration. He will now be responsible for providing key administrative support and strategic advice to Governor Ganeshi Lal.
Rajput’s career includes extensive experience in different capacities within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), including roles in policy implementation and management at the district and state levels. His new role will involve coordinating with various government departments and assisting in the smooth functioning of the Governor’s office.
Saswat Mishra, the current principal secretary to the governor, has been appointed as principal secretary of the finance department. Mishra will retain his additional responsibilities as principal secretary of the energy department and chairman of the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC), the notification added.
