New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to help MSMEs gain access to the capital market.
This collaboration aims to enable MSMEs in the defense industry to effectively and openly access productive finance for their growth plan using the NSE platform, “NSE Emerge.” The platform provides innovative and practical ways to raise equity capital from a wide range of investors. In the presence of Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, the Managing Director of NSE and the Additional Secretary of the Department of Defence Production (DDP) have signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
During the five years that the Memorandum of Understanding is in effect, DDP and NSE will undertake a comprehensive awareness-raising campaign through seminars, MSME camps, knowledge sessions, road shows, and workshops to assist corporates working with the Ministry of Defense in collecting money on the NSE Emerge platform.
