New Delhi: The govt of India has appointed Mridu Pawan Das as its new High Commissioner to Rwanda. Das, a 1999 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, replaces Monika Kapur, who served as High Commissioner until recently.
Das brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served in various capacities, including as a Director in the Ministry of External Affairs. The appointment is part of India’s ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties with Rwanda and enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.
The new High Commissioner will be based in Kigali, where he will oversee diplomatic engagements and promote Indian interests in Rwanda.
