What are the digital initiatives undertaken at Parul University that you would like to highlight?
There are several digital initiatives we have undertaken at Parul University but the pride of place would go to our online learning platforms, PULMS and Digital Exams, our e-governance (MIS) system and definitely our own Data Center. We also have our state-of-the-art ICT, Digital, and Cloud Ready Infrastructure as well as our own EdTech platforms.
Parul University has also embarked upon activities like Digital Transformation Conference and Digital Marketing Course. Last but not least, we have digitized routine activities like strategic placement partnerships, career development programs, industry collaborations, and campus placements among others.
How are the different stakeholders including faculties and students involved in these digital initiatives?
The various digital initiatives at Parul University would not have succeeded without the involvement of our different stakeholders. The faculties or staff members are responsible for digital literacy training, curriculum integration, technology adoption, content creation, and feedback provisioning among others.
The Students are involved in personal digital skill development, active participation in the digitization programs, regular access to technology, feedback provision, and intra and inter-university collaboration. Other stakeholders have inculcated digitization in administration, tech support, industry partnerships, interactions with parents, and the overall community.
What are the milestones involved in the overall digital transformation journey of Parul University?
We can break down the milestones in Parul’s digital transformation journey into three stages—early, intermediate, and advanced. The early stage milestones involve digital infrastructure development, digital literacy enhancement, and online course development. Each milestone, in turn, involves different activities enumerated below.
Digital Infrastructure Development:
- Upgradation of IT infrastructure to support online operations.
- Implementation of a robust Learning Management System (LMS) for online course delivery.
- Development of a centralized student information system.
Digital Literacy Enhancement:
- Staff training on digital pedagogy and online teaching tools.

We at Parul University have obviously noted some key improvements emanating from these digitization activities including a perceptible shift from manual to digital for all processes, real-time updates, and automated asset management leading to efficient inventory management. Overall, Parul has benefited through increased efficiency, improved accuracy, enhanced visibility, and better asset management.
How is Parul University focusing on industry-ready IT degree programs with different specializations?
Parul University has been actively working towards aligning its IT degree programs with the evolving demands of the industry. The salient features of our embedded programs include a strong industry collaboration, backed by robust internships and placements culminating in successful certification programs.
Parul University offers a diverse range of IT specializations to cater to different interests and career aspirations. The options range from Cloud Computing, Blockchain Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science, Cybersecurity and Robotics and Automation. In addition, there are other initiatives around research and innovation, skill development workshops as well as infrastructure and facilities.
How is the collaboration with the industry in terms of these courses at Parul University?
Parul University has a strong focus on industry collaboration. The key areas of our collaboration with the industry include Industry-embedded programs, collaborative research, curriculum development, and internships and placements. I would like to highlight the specific examples of Parul’s collaborations with SAP and Quick Heal in this respect. These collaborations enhance the overall learning experience for students, making them industry-ready and equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in their chosen fields.
