New Delhi: The Indian Cabinet has approved several key initiatives aimed at accelerating the country’s economic development, including the establishment of 12 new industrial smart cities and the development of new railway corridors. These decisions are part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance infrastructure, foster industrial growth, and improve connectivity across India.
The new industrial smart cities will be strategically located to serve as hubs for manufacturing and innovation, equipped with advanced digital infrastructure and sustainable practices. These cities are expected to attract significant investments, create jobs, and boost regional economies.
In addition to the smart cities, the Cabinet also greenlit the development of new railway corridors. These corridors will improve the efficiency of freight and passenger transportation, reduce travel times, and support the movement of goods between key industrial and economic zones.
