POWERGRID and AIIMS New Delhi to collaborate for providing healthcare services to the underprivileged

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is planning to collaborate with AIIMS New Delhi for the provision of basic health services to the underserved section of society. This move comes as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the company.

RK Tyagi, the Chairman and Managing Director of POWERGRID met M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS Delhi to discuss the partnership for enhancing services for the underprivileged people. POWERGRID has previously made a 300-bed Vishram Sadan at AIIMS, Delhi to provide a comfortable and cost-effective stay to patients and their families during the treatment. In addition, POWERGRID has set up Vishram Sadans at numerous other hospitals all over India.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is a ‘Schedule A’ Public Sector Enterprise of the government of India incorporated in 1989. It is primarily responsible for the transmission of bulk power across different states of India. It aims to facilitate reliable, secure, and efficient transfer of power throughout the country.
