Mumbai: Yes Bank has appointed senior banker Sumit Bali as the head of the retail business and collection division. He will be replacing Lavesh Sardana, the country head of retail assets and debt at Yes Bank, and will take up his new role on August 26
Bali has nearly three decades of experience in retail banking. In his new role, he is expected to boost Yes Bank’s retail business. Prior to joining Yes Bank, he led Axis Bank’s retail lending department. He played a key role in Axis Bank’s acquisition of Citi’s India retail business in 2023. He has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of IIFL Finance and Kotak Mahindra Prime Limited. In addition, he also acted as the Executive Vice President of the retail assets division at Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Bali is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Stephen’s College, Delhi.
