Chennai: Freshworks Inc. has announced the appointment of Murali Swaminathan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
In his new role, Swaminathan will oversee the company’s technology strategy and roadmap, leading global engineering and architecture teams to advance Freshworks’ AI-powered customer and employee experience solutions. He will report directly to Freshworks CEO and President Dennis Woodside. Swaminathan brings over 30 years of experience in software engineering and management, having held prominent positions at ServiceNow, Recommind (now OpenText), and CA Technologies (now part of Broadcom Inc.).
At ServiceNow, he was Vice President of Engineering, where he was instrumental in developing the architecture for the company’s IT Service Management and Strategic Portfolio Management products, which have been widely adopted by large enterprises globally. He holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in electronics and instrumentation from Annamalai University in India.
