Bangalore: Intel has launched its latest line of x86 processors, the Intel Core Ultra 200V series, which promises significant advancements in performance and efficiency. These processors, designed for AI-powered PCs, offer breakthrough power efficiency, enhanced graphics, and strong security features, making them the most efficient x86 processors Intel has ever produced.
The Core Ultra 200V series features a 50% reduction in package power and can deliver up to 120 total platform tera operations per second (TOPS) across the CPU, GPU, and neural processing unit (NPU). This results in superior AI performance across a wide range of applications. The fourth-generation NPU, which is four times more powerful than its predecessor, is optimized for running sustained AI workloads while maintaining energy efficiency.
Intel’s collaboration with over 100 integrated software vendors (ISVs) as part of its AI PC Acceleration Program has enabled over 300 AI-accelerated features on this platform. The new processors also incorporate redesigned Performance Cores (P-cores) and more powerful Efficient Cores (E-cores) to handle demanding workloads while maintaining smooth and quiet operation.
Pre-orders for systems featuring the Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors begin September 24. These systems will be available in stores and online from major manufacturers like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, and Samsung. Additionally, starting in November, all systems running the latest version of Windows with these processors will receive Copilot PC features as a free update.
