Shimla: Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited organized a major tree plantation drive in Ghannati, Shimla under the Plant4Mother Campaign to contribute to environmental conservation efforts. The drive was attended by the senior officials of SJVN including Madhurima Singh, the Chairperson of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club SJVN employees, members of the club, and other stakeholders. A total of 200 oak trees were planted during this plantation drive.
Sanjeev Gupta, Head of the Department and Chief General Manager Environment participated in this campaign and highlighted its importance in achieving the broader environmental goals. He stated that the campaign not only aligns with the national agenda of increasing green cover but also encourages organizations and individuals to adopt environment conservation practices.
Bhawna Sharma, the Chief Patron of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club was invited as the Chief Guest at the plantation drive. She emphasized the vitality of SJVN’s initiative in promoting biodiversity and reducing the effects of climate change.
