New Delhi: SHRM India and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have partnered to tackle India’s growing skill gap through the ‘HR Leadership Council Connect’. The initiative will unite senior HR leaders to address skill redundancy and workforce planning.
Starting on September 27th, the council will focus on aligning skilling strategies with industry demands, particularly in areas like IT, telecom, and manufacturing. The council will explore collaborations between industries to improve apprenticeships and skill development programs.
The discussions will highlight industry engagement, value chain mapping, and strategies to develop a future-ready workforce. By sharing insights from senior HR leaders and industry experts, the council aims to guide NSDC in enhancing their national skill development strategies.
The initiative reflects a concerted effort to keep pace with the rapid changes in job markets and the impact of technological advancements on workforce needs. Through this platform, HR leaders hope to offer practical recommendations to address the evolving demands for reskilling and upskilling across multiple sectors.
