New Delhi: The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has partnered with Ethnotech Academy and Cambridge University Press & Assessment to launch the Centre for Future Skills. This initiative aims to equip students with essential skills in emerging technologies such as AI, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and Semiconductor Design.
The collaboration intends to provide higher education institutions with advanced technology infrastructure and global certification programs, bridging the gap between academia and industry. NSDC’s Vice President, Nitin Kapoor, highlighted the importance of future-ready skills for India’s workforce, stressing that upskilling is critical to staying relevant in a rapidly evolving job market.
Dr. Kiran Rajanna of Ethnotech Academy emphasized that the Centre for Future Skills will act as an aggregator, linking industry expertise with academic institutions to ensure affordable and globally recognized certifications for students.
Peter Philips, CEO of Cambridge University Press & Assessment, noted that Cambridge’s role in the partnership is to enhance global learning standards, aiming to improve career prospects for learners in India.
The initiative reflects a growing demand for skilled professionals in cutting-edge technologies and seeks to position India as a key player in the global tech ecosystem.
