New Delhi: Delhi government school students are set to join a vocational training program in Germany, where they’ll gain technical skills and real-world experience. This initiative, organized by the Delhi Government in partnership with the Goethe Institute and major German companies, is available to students who have completed Class 12.
The program is part of the ‘APAL’ project, which offers students from India, Latin America, and Uzbekistan a 3.5-year dual vocational training opportunity. Students will learn both in the classroom and on the job, working alongside German industry professionals.
At an orientation session at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, AAP leader Manish Sisodia noted the program’s progress since its launch two years ago in collaboration with the German Embassy. He emphasized that this training can open global career paths for Delhi’s government school students.
The program, which has already introduced German language courses in 30 Delhi schools, is expected to start with around 30-40 students. About 4,500 students are currently learning German as part of this educational partnership. This initiative provides a pathway for Delhi’s youth to access international training and broaden their future prospects.
