Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several major infrastructure projects in Maharashtra today, valued at over ₹50,000 crore. The projects include the first phase of Mumbai Metro Line-3, connecting BKC to Aarey JVLR. This ₹14,120 crore metro line features 10 stations, with 9 underground, and is expected to accommodate around 12 lakh passengers daily once fully operational.
In addition, Modi will uncover five solar parks in Washim district with a combined capacity of 19 MW. The Prime Minister will also release ₹20,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme as the 18th installment, benefiting approximately 9.4 crore farmers.
Further, Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Thane Integral Ring Metro, a 29-km project costing ₹12,200 crore with 22 stations. Other significant developments include the extension of the Eastern Freeway from Chheda Nagar to Anand Nagar in Thane and the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project.
These initiatives aim to enhance urban transport infrastructure, boost renewable energy capacity, and support agriculture across the state.
