Noida: Sophos, a leading global company for cybersecurity solutions, is set to acquire Secureworks to strengthen its position in the cybersecurity industry. The merger aims to combine Sophos’ leading managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities with Secureworks’ renowned Taegis XDR platform. Both companies aim to bolster cybersecurity solutions for businesses worldwide, particularly in addressing the ever-growing threats from sophisticated cybersecurity attacks.
The merger deal, expected to be finalized by 2025, will enable the integration of AI-driven security solutions from both companies. The goal is to create a more robust security portfolio catering to organizations of all sizes, from small businesses to large enterprises
Joe Levy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sophos highlighted the significance of acquiring Secureworks and stated that the move represents an important step towards the company’s commitment to building a safer digital future for all. Going forward, Sophos is planning to expand its portfolio to include offerings such as identity detection and response (ITDR) and enhanced vulnerability risk prioritization.
