New Delhi: Uber has partnered with logistics provider Shadowfax to integrate the latter’s two-wheeler vehicles with the ride-booking platform’s UberMoto bike-taxi service.
Shadowfax’s two-wheeler riders will be able to switch during their unoccupied work hours to UberMoto and provide bike-taxi services. Uber stated that the partnership will allow it to strengthen its bike-taxi operations with additional two-wheelers and launch operations in towns where Shadowfax is present. As per the agreement, when riders request an UberMoto on the Uber app, they can be matched with Shadowfax drivers. These trips will be completed by Shadowfax drivers in Shadowfax’s driver app. According to Uber, there will be no change in rider experience from their usual Uber trip experience.
In the past, Uber struck a similar deal with a third-party technical integration in New York, where it onboarded the city’s yellow cabs on its ride-sharing platform.
