By evening of the polling day it was assumed that the voter turn out was around 56 per cent but by the night the total voter turnout crossed the figures of the votes and was around 65 per centage.
The Maharashtra assembly elections were conducted in single phase with the total voter turnout of 65.02 % on Wednesday.


The final voter turnout stood at 65.02% during the single-phase Assembly election which was increased from the 2019 assembly elections which was recorded for a total turnout at 61.6 %.
This time Mumbai City recorded a turnout of 52.07%, while voter turnout was slightly more in Mumbai Suburban at 55.77%. Pune registered 60.70%, and Thane reported 56.05%.
About the election S Chockalingam, chief electoral officer said, “Even though the final polling percentage will come by midnight, it is expected to surpass the 2019 election”.
Now the political parties and the election candidates all have their eyes on the result day on Saturday. Voters will decide the fate of 4,136 candidates contesting in 288 Assembly constituencies. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 23.
