New Delhi, May 18 (APAC Media): The availability of fertilisers for the ongoing Kharif season remains comfortable across states, with supply levels exceeding 51% nationwide, the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers said.
Speaking on the current situation, additional secretary Aparna S. Sharma said that adequate stocks are available across the country to meet seasonal demand.
“The availability of fertilisers for the Kharif season remains more than 51% across the states. About 200.98 LMT of fertilisers is available across the country. There has been no major change in the MRP of major fertilisers,” Sharma said.

She further highlighted that domestic production has recovered significantly after the earlier supply disruptions.

“Domestic production after the crisis period has been substantial, that is 86.2 LMT, and about 22 LMT of imports have reached our shores,” she added.
The ministry said that the combined domestic output and imports have strengthened fertiliser availability ahead of the peak sowing period, ensuring stable supply conditions for farmers.
Officials added that the situation continues to be monitored closely to maintain smooth distribution across all regions during the Kharif season.
