Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government announced a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring several IAS officers across key departments while also creating a new ex-cadre post in the Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Department.
A major change includes the creation of an ex-cadre post for the Director of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, which will now hold the status equivalent to a Joint Secretary to the government. IAS Sriram V., who was serving as Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty in the Finance (Resources) Department, has been transferred to this newly created position. Additionally, he will continue as Managing Director of the Kerala Financial Corporation until the end of the current financial year.

IAS Adeela Abdulla, Director of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, has been transferred as Special Secretary, Social Justice, while also taking on the full additional charge of the Women and Child Development Department.

IAS Abdul Nasar B., Director of Fisheries, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, while also assuming the full additional charges of Special Secretary, Minority Welfare, and Director of Fisheries.

IAS P.B. Nooh, Chairman and Managing Director of Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco), has been reassigned as Special Secretary, Transport, and will also serve as Chairman and Managing Director of Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation.

IAS Shibu A., Additional Secretary in the Public Works Department, has been given the full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala State Pottery Manufacturing Marketing and Welfare Development Corporation.

IAS Aswathy Srinivas, District Development Commissioner for Ernakulam, has been appointed as Chairperson and Managing Director of Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco). Her services have been placed at the disposal of the Food and Civil Supplies Department for this role.

IAS Mohammed Shafiq, Deputy Secretary and Director of Programme Implementation, Evaluation, and Monitoring, will take on the full additional charge of Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department while being relieved from his previous role as Managing Director of Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation.
