Mumbai: In a major administrative overhaul aimed at boosting efficiency and improving policing operations, the Maharashtra Home Department has transferred and appointed 26 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the state. As per the official notification, IPS Anil Parasakar has been transferred to the Protection and Security Department as Additional Commissioner of Police.
Other key IPS transfers and appointments are as follows:
- IPS Rakesh Kalasagar – Appointed Commissioner, Mumbai Railway Police. The post has been downgraded from Special Director General to DIG rank.
- IPS Shailesh Balkawade – Transferred from Pune City Crime Branch to Mumbai Crime Branch in the same capacity.
- IPS M. Ramkumar – Appointed Director, State Intelligence Training Institute, Pune (previously with the Traffic Department as Additional Commissioner).
- IPS Shashikumar Meena – Appointed Additional Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh Division.
- IPS A.H. Chawariya – Appointed Commissioner of Police, Amravati.
- IPS S.T. Rathod – Appointed DIG, Anti-Narcotics Task Force.
- IPS Shewale – Appointed DIG, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Mumbai.
- IPS G. Sridhar – Appointed DIG, IT & Traffic Police Department.
- IPS Praveen Patil, IPS Vasant Pardeshi, & IPS Rajendra Dabhade – Appointed Additional Commissioners, Nagpur City.
- IPS Sanjay B. Patil & IPS Rajesh Bansode – Appointed Additional Commissioners, Pune City.
- IPS S. D. Awhad – Appointed Additional Commissioner, Pimpri-Chinchwad.
- IPS Vinita Sahu – Appointed Additional Commissioner, Armed Police Force, Mumbai.
- IPS Vikram Deshmane – Appointed Additional Commissioner, Central Region, Mumbai.
- IPS Dhananjay Kulkarni – Appointed Additional Commissioner, Special Branch, Mumbai.
- IPS Priyanka Narnavare – Appointed Additional Commissioner, Traffic, Mumbai.
